1870s Victorian Gold Vermeil & Cut Crystal Scimitar Chatelaine Perfume Bottle
Exquisitely handcrafted, intricately detailed and simply stunning, this beautiful scent bottle is a wonderful example of bygone fashions.
Fashioned in a heavy cut crystal and fitted with a gold-over-sterling-silver hinged cap, this lovely little piece was designed to be worn at a woman's waist on a chatelaine. However, one could easily modernize this piece by running a chain through the attached jump ring and wear as a pendant.
The intricate cap has a raised floral pattern encompassing an amethyst glass cabochon. The hinge is stamped sterling. Cap fits securely on the bottle.
Width at Widest Point: 0.75"
Markings: Stamped Sterling
Condition: Very Good
Shows overall signs of light wear. The gold vermeil is rubbing off of the sterling silver cap. Could easily be removed and polished to be completely silver. Priced accordingly.
