1910s Mabley & Carew Men's Linen Motoring Coat - As Found
Hang on to your hat and get ready to hit the road in this fabulous Edwardian driving duster! Originally, these coats were designed to keep a gentleman's suit free from automobile grease and any dirt and mud that might be kicked up while whisking off to his destination.
Fashioned in a heavy, high-quality linen, this duster is meticulously made with beautiful French seams and patch pockets adorning each hip and the breast. Jacket has a single vent in the back. The jacket closes with 5 mismatched brown buttons. The top button is made of tortoise shell, the other 4 are varying forms of early to modern plastic. Only visible upon close inspection.

Duster is being sold in "as-found" condition, There are a number of grease, dirt and oil stains throughout, which given the purpose of this coat is expected. There are tears above three of the buttonholes. Could stand a good cleaning. Very wearable as is. Priced accordingly.
