1920s Art Deco Silk & Lace Boudoir Cap with Braided Gold Lamé Trim & Rosettes
Keep your fingerwaves looking fresh while you sleep with this beautiful silk and lace boudoir cap. Originally advertised as ideal "for the smart bedroom woman," these caps were essential to hide undressed hair and to keep the 1920s woman looking presentable during breakfast or morning tea with her beau.
This cap is an Art Deco lover's dream!! Fashioned in exquisite ivory floral lace and lined in the most perfect shade of peach silk, this boudoir chapeau has all the details a 1920s lady yearns for. Two large lace medallions adorn the sides of the cap and beautifully frame the face. Each side panel is decorated with a circle of highly coveted braided gold lamé trim.
The same braided lamé trim decorates the back of the cap as well as the front. Front also has two ovals of petite red ribbon rosettes framed with tiny green ombre ribbon leaves.
A must-have for any sensible flapper!
Silk and lace are in wonderful shape and free of any breaks, tears, or shreds. There are a few very faint stains on the lace. It looks as though they were caused in storage where the lace touched the gold lamé. You have to look very closely to notice the discoloration. Does not detract.
