SOLD -- 1920s Baby Blue Silk and Ecru Lace Teddy
This product is unavailable
Dainty and sweet and perfect for a little coquette! This dreamy teddy is a prime example of how women of the 1920s adapted their wardrobe to the changing decades and economics conditions.
This piece was once a step-in, however, the gusset has been removed so it can now be slipped over the head. At one point this teddy tied in the back, but it looks like the ties were removed and repurposed as straps. I imagine this probably had silk ribbon straps originally.
Despite the modifications, this truly is a beautiful piece! Without the modifications, it may not have survived as long as it has!
Total Length: 30" from center of shoulder strap to bottom
Strap Length: 15.5" however, there is a lot of excess if they need to be lengthened.
One of the straps is twisted. There is a 1/4" stain on the front of the slip and a few tiny stains on the back. There is a small stain in the lace and the straps are yellowed. There are also a few tiny picks in the silk, but no runs, tears or shredding. Teddy has been modified from a step-in. See description of modifications above. Item is completely wearable as is. Priced accordingly.
