This beautiful necklace looks so much like a Max Neiger original, you might even fool a collector!
The highly popular Neiger brothers (known for their Egyptian Revival and Asian influenced jewelry pieces) were so successful in the 1920s that their designs were often copied by the competition.
This striking piece is strung on a cotton thread and features white etched Czech glass bicone beads accented with vibrant green spacer beads. It also has three fabulous pressed glass prized elephants flanking two green pressed glass oblong beads with Chinese calligraphy.
Necklace fastens with a spring ring.
Large green beads show signs of wear. It looks like someone attempted to clean this piece and unfortunately scrubbed off all of the beautiful brown patina that would have originally accented the etched portion of the beads. Priced accordingly.
