Spectacular does not even begin to describe this piece! Every single inch exudes luxury, elegance and superb craftsmanship. Whoever created this gown was truly an expert in his or her craft!
This gorgeous gown has a silk chiffon cowl with picot edge that drapes lightly over the shoulders with the end cascading over one shoulder as if the wrap were a separate piece. The metallic lace begins at the bodice with an almost shell-like pattern, which morphs into geometric squares throughout the center of the dress before turning back into the shell pattern at the hem. The negative space between the shapes is heirloom stitched with alternating black and gold thread creating a zig-zag affect.
The hem of the skirt is scalloped, following the natural shape of the lace and it comes to a longer point in the center on both sides. A small floral accent adorns the hip and is made out of the same material as the gown.
The slip has a black silk upper and a black silk chiffon skirt. This gown is incredibly rare and museum quality! It is truly a show-stopping piece for any collector!
