1930s Black Celluloid Necklace with Floral Insets
This beautiful early plastic necklace is the perfect mix of mystery and femininity.
Fashioned in a glossy black celluloid, each of the four rounded links feature a 3-D inset bouquet of painted daisies in shades of pinks, yellows, greens and blues.
Links are connected with brass rings and chain and fasten with a spring ring.
Total Length: 17"
Condition: Very Good
Necklace has overall surface wear. Brass has antiqued with age. Two of the round floral links and one of the half moon links have shallow chips. The black color is coming off of a few of the round links near the edge of the inset. The flowers have faded over time but still have a good contrast against the black. It looks like a number of the links were hot pin tested on the back. The backs also have significantly more surface wear, but this is not visible when worn. Priced accordingly.
