SOLD -- 1940s Ellen Kaye Original Sequined Rayon Crepe Blouse
This product is unavailable
This blouse is for the 1940s bombshell who likes to be seen and make a statement!
Fashioned in a wonderful black rayon crepe, this blouse features puffed sleeves with heavily-padded shoulder pads for that very structured 1940s look. It has vibrant and beautiful pink sequin flowers with green leaves and vines details across the front.
It is tapered at the waist and fastens on the side with a metal zipper.
Unfortunately, someone decided to take this blouse apart and re-piece it together to make it larger. From a distance, it is not overly noticeable, but it is apparent up close.
The bodice has been lengthened at the waist using the same crepe material. Upon first glance, it just looks like the waistline above the peplum, but it has been altered.
The majority of the alteration is on the right side. A large panel of black polyester was added on the side (See photo). A small piece also was added under the arm on the left side.
Easily still wearable as is, or could be restored to original size.
Total Length: 21"
Label: Ellen Kay Original
See description above regarding alterations. Has a small hole next to the zipper. Priced accordingly.
