1950s Navy & Salmon Silk Cheongsam
Created in Shanghai in the 1920s, the cheongsam was made fashionable by socialites and upper-class women. Today, this stylish tight-fitting dress is still a favorite for women around the world.
This beautiful frock is fashioned in a navy silk with a petite allover salmon colored abstract pattern. It has the classic mandarin collar and three frog closures on the shoulder. Dress fastens on the side with a metal zipper.
Total Length: 37"
It looks as though the front darts and part of the side seam have been let out to expand the midsection. Unfortunately, the original stitch holes have started to shred (See photo). This could be remedied if you were to alter the dress back to its original state. Priced accordingly.
