1960s Butwin Gluv Elf Green Leather Varsity Letterman Jacket
They don't call it "The Champion of Jackets" for nothing! You will feel like you're going for the gold after you slip on this amazing all leather letterman!
Fashioned in genuine gluv elf leather in a vibrant shade of kelly green, this jacket may have been worn by a male gymnast based on the patch on the sleeve. There was once an "E" patch on the left breast of the jacket and some sort of shield/emblem patch on the other side. They have both been removed, however the stitching is still visible upon close inspection.
Jacket is trimmed in ivory and green ribbed knit, has two side pockets and fastens with seven heavy duty snaps. Jacket is fully lined for additional warmth.
Sleeve Length: 36"
Waist: 40" (but has stretch)
Total Length: 25"
Size: Marked 46
Label: Tailored by Butwin, The Champion of Jackets
Condition: Very Good
This jacket has been worn and loved, but it still has a lot of life left! Leather shows overall signs of wear and has a few scratches and worn spots in the leather, particularly on the sleeves, along the front center closure and near the back of the neck. Might be able to touch them up with a matching polish. The knit banding is discolored and has a few tiny holes throughout. The stitch marks from the removed patches is visible but does not detract. The lining is in great shape. Priced accordingly.
