SOLD -- 1970s Secretary Dress with 1930s Nightclub & Music Novelty Print
This product is unavailable
If you are a lover of music, dancing or just great novelty prints, this is the dress for you!
Fashioned in a slinky lightweight polyester, this fabulous frock fastens down the front with 9 pearlescent peach buttons and ties at the neck creating that iconic secretary bow. Bodice is gathered at the shoulder. Also has an attached belt.
However, the real beauty of this dress is the fabric! Treble clefs, horns and music notes make up the base pattern print of this frock interspersed with scenes of musicians and couples dancing the night away. You can almost hear "The Continental" playing in the background just looking at this piece. Are they in the Copacabana Club? Perhaps!
Total Length: 35"
Label: Has been removed
Condition: Very Good
There is a small, faint stain on the back shoulder blade and a pin hole under the collar on the back. There is 2" run in the material above the stain on the same shoulder. (See photos) The print is so busy that none of these flaws detract. Priced accordingly.
