1905 Edwardian High Collar Striped Cotton Afternoon Dress
This beautiful circa 1905 dress is constructed in a light-weight striped cotton with red piping accents and is the perfect summer dress for afternoon tea or a stroll through the gardens! True to the fashions of the era, this dress has a high, standing collar made of cotton eyelet lace, which is fastened with metal hook-and-eye closures at the back. A small cutout at the midriff and the sleeve cuffs also are trimmed in matching eyelet lace and trimmed in red piping.
Dress is a pull-over style and fastens with hook-and-eye closures on the side.
There is a 2-inch tear in lace collar at the back. Light staining throughout with the most noticeable spots on the left front and on back bottom of skirt. Slight discoloring of lace due to age. Small 3/8" weak spot on front of dress under the lace midriff insert. Dress is still in wearable condition given the age.
