SOLD -- Near Mint 1920s Art Deco Metallic Gold Lace and Chartreuse Silk Dress
This product is unavailable
"Phenomenal" is the only way to describe this jaw-dropping dress! Gold lame and metallic lace both were very popular in the Roaring '20s, but unfortunately very little of it survived the years. To find one in this near-mint condition is a dream!
This drop-waist darling is made of metallic gold embroidered lace with 4 chartreuse silk panels in the skirt. The back of the dress has an Art Deco linear pattern made of a tighter woven lace, which almost looks like ribbon. The same technique is used on the front of the dress as a faux belt at the drop waist. It's very striking.
Dress is lined in a gold silk slip. This golden goddess gown almost has a slight Egyptian Revival feel to it. You are guaranteed to light up a room the second you enter!
Total Length: 42"
Condition: Excellent-Near Mint
There is one small 1/4" hole in the center back of the slip and one tiny break in lace (see photo). Priced accordingly.
