Rare 1920s Art Deco Paste and Celluloid Necklace & Earring Set
This incredible set is for the glamorous flapper who likes to dazzle the crowds as she shimmies past!
Fashioned in beautiful green translucent marbled celluloid and trimmed in brilliant blue paste rhinestones, this fabulous pendant has hand-painted Art Deco diagonal lines in silver and gold. Each silver line is inset with petite pearls. It is topped with a metal bail and comes with a gold tone chain, which is more than likely not original to the piece. This piece more than likely would have come on a silk faille grosgrain ribbon.
Earrings are made of the same green translucent marbled celluloid and are trimmed in clear paste rhinestones with matching brilliant blue rhinestones in the center. Earrings have metal screw backs, which are in good working condition.
Condition: Very Good
Some of the gold painted lines on the pendant have rubbed off. Metal findings have a patina from age. One of the celluloid earring posts is lighter than the other, which may be how it was made. None of the flaws detract. Priced accordingly.
