Rare 1920s Navy Silk & Gold Lamé Art Deco Patterned Blouse -- Museum Quality!
Like the Chrysler Building, this little number is so quintessential Art Deco it will make your heart flutter!
Fashioned in a heavy navy silk, this incredibly rare piece is fully embroidered with vibrant gold lamé thread in the most amazing Art Deco geometric pattern we have ever seen!
Top has a square neckline, long sleeves and tapers at the waist giving it a fuller cut. It is wonderfully constructed with beautiful encased French seams. While this piece is probably homemade, it looks to have been done by a very accomplished seamstress.
This eye-catching top would be a wonderful addition to a museum, personal collection or would be great for television or film. It is very sturdy and wearable with no repairs needed.
** Blouse has no snaps or side openings **
Total Length: 23.5"
Condition: Very Good - Excellent
There is very slight fading to the metal thread at the back of the neck and one very small rubbed/weak spot on the front (See photos). There's also some very slight fading on the underside of the sleeve near the elbow area. Gold is still very bright. Does not detract. Priced accordingly.
